About the Lady on the Lake and Tour of Lake Geneva
Lake Geneva’s transformation into a tourism gem began in the mid-19th century. After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, wealthy Chicagoans needed a peaceful retreat — and they found it here. The lake’s crystal-clear waters and stunning shoreline made it the perfect place to build extravagant summer homes. Soon, Chicago’s elite set up luxurious mansions and other iconic buildings, like Yerkes Observatory, being viewable from the lake. The Lady of the Lake embodies the grandeur and timeless elegance of America’s Steamboat Era and has been a fleet flagship since she was launched in 1963.

Boat Tour Optional: Enjoy an hour tour of Lake Geneva
When registering, make sure you check "Yes" and enjoy a complimentary boat tour following the Annual meeting.
Handicap Accessible & Transportation to the Dock:
Members will be given ample time (over 45 minutes) to walk from the meeting venue to the Riviera Docks, which is approximately three blocks on city sidewalks.
Please let us know when registering if you will require assistance in going from the venue to the boat dock. If so, WUI will arrange for transportation from the Cove of Lake Geneva to the Riviera Docks.
